Portobello Crescent looks nicer on the internet but I guess it's not bad in person. It has a mixture of colorful pieces in different sizes. I like the pop of darker pink and the green pieces. This combination reminds me of cherry blossoms or spring. As per usual, it is a pain to remove.

Coppery Look

I've been getting very inspired by people's makeup looks posted on Instagram...! Gotta stop wearing so much neutrals.

Product Review: Schwarzkopf - Bonacure Color Save Shampoo

Let's start off with my hair type first. I dyed my hair for the first time in grade 7 and I don't remember having nice and shiny hair since then. Well, I think my hair was never silky and shiny to begin with, like some of my friends who are born with this gift... I dye my hair on average 2-3 times a year. Recently I've dyed it burgundy using a $3 hair dye from Walmart :) haha I think the brand was Loreal ...? I can't recall. As you may already know, red always tends to fade to brown. Therefore, I wanted to invest in a good shampoo that would prolong the color. At the same time, I was looking for a shampoo that could improve the condition of my hair, make it appear less frizzy and dry. My hair is alwayssss frizzy, puffy and dry right after I wash my hair. It usually gets a lot better when I wake up in the morning though. (Still pretty bad) I did a little research online and I found out that sulfate in shampoo dies out your hair. However, I think sulfate is what makes the shampoo bubble, where you can work your hair into a big lather.

I came across this product online and it said sulfate free. Immediately I thought of what I read online. Also, Schwarzkopf is a prestigious brand so I thought I would give it a try.

As expected, this product is like most of the organic shampoos in the market. It's extremely hard to create a big lather with it. You still CAN, but there's a way. First you put some on your hand and spread it around your scalp. Then gradually add some water to your hair on different parts of your scalp and rub in circular motion. It takes a little more work than regular shampoo.

It for sure didnt make my hair as frizzy as before and my scalp feels very comfortable afterwards. As far as color preservation, I cannot say much right now since I've used it for less than a week. I believe it will help though because it doesn't contain sulfate, which means less chemical on the hair...

I would repurchase this product :)

NOTD: Purple with Knoad Black Floral Designs

One of my favourite nail polish!
OPI "You're Such a Budapest" with "Essie Set In Stones"

LOTD: Iridescent pink/purple

Back in high school I used to wear VERY colorful eye shadows. Blue, green, purple, cranberry etc... Nowadays I stick to brown shades 90% of the time because it can go with any lip color. I love wearing red/bright lipsticks so if I wear a colorful eye shadow, it usually doesn't match!

This is a look that I really like to do with Shu Uemura "IR pink 115" eye shadow. It is a very special shade. I'd say it's a light pink with iridenscent purple sparkles in it. It's hard to describe so you have to go check it out yourself!! I found a similar shadow by MAC, which I use as a base. It's a different formla since it's a pro longwear paint pot. I'm not sure if it's permanent but I don't think so. It's called "Let's Skate!"

Left most: Shu Uemura "Let's Skate!"
Top Right: MAC "Fig.1"
Middle: MAC "Beauty Marked"
Bottom: MAC "Let's Skate" Prolongwear paint pot

Lid & inner corners: MAC paint pot --> Shu Uemura shadow
Crease: MAC Beauty Marked
Blend out crease color with MAC "Fig.1"

- High light brow bone with any matte white eye shadow
- When I have time I always use a beige/white eyeliner on my    water line to open up my eyes as well :)
-mascara on bottom lashes is a must!!

Cheek: Bobbi brown blush "Blushed #10"
Lips: MAC "Modesty" (Cremesheen), Dior lip maximizer gloss

Review: Maybelline Flash Clean Makeup Removing Lotion

I rarely use drug store makeup but one day I dropped by Target/ one of the supermarkets in the States and I grabbed this because it was new and cheap. Why not give it a try? I didn't expect too much from it because it's a lotion formula so it occurred to me that it wouldn't remove my waterproof eye makeup for sure. To my surprise, it removed my super waterproof mascara in one go! I've been using Shu Uemura's cleansing oil to remove my eye makeup and usually it would take at least two times to completely remove the residue. However, this makeup removing LOTION, removed it in no time!! I was quite surprised that something this cheap actually worked better than my Shu cleansing oil... (Actually, the Shu cleansing oil isn't that great of a product itself, I'm still using it only because I have to finish the bottle). I think this thing cost me $4 something USD. I don't think I've seen this in Canada yet, I could be wrong... But if you see this at the drugstore, you must grab one and try!!

Now this product claims to remove makeup, cleanse and moisturize your face. I would definitely not complete my skincare routine with this as the last step. Even though it says that it completes the moisturizing step in this lotion, I just have a feeling that my face is still not clean yet. How I use this product is that I rub it on my eyes and face in circular motion, and then I take a piece of tissue and wipe off the makeup. Then, I use a cleanser to clean my face.

By the way, I am still using the Heorine Kiss Me Long & Curl mascara. It's been... at least six years. I don't think I will ever change!! I wore it to the water park and none of it came off :) Did I make a post about it yet? If not... it will come soon :)

Under my nail polish I put a non-slip rubbery mat to prevent them from falling all over the place :)

Some Stuff from Seattle

Forever 21 in Seattle was 3 floors!! So huge I loved it! Accessories seemed to be cheaper than the ones in the Canadian forever 21, clothes were nicer too. I liked a lot of the clothes there but I didn't get them all XD

Bows + Pearl <3 love!

I always wanted this kind of earrings but they were always too heavy and I never saw a pair that I liked that much... These are perfect :D

Seattle Sephora has tax exemption for BC residents if you show your ID! SOO amazing :D The NARS Hungry Heart Duo is different from the NARS albatross in the way that the glitters are bigger and they look REALLY pretty on the cheekbones when the sun shines at it at the right angle =P Even though one side is white and the other side is pink, I don't apply enough of the product on my face to show the shade. I just dab my brush very light on the product because I don't want my cheeks looking too glittery. This was $40 USD but it's $10 more in Canada, plus USD was (is) lower than CAD! I gotta promise myself not to get anymore highlighters, I have more than enough now x_x But.. they all produce a different effect :D

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks - Cabo Coral 21 + Melliesh 05

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge "Cabo Coral" ($27 CAD)
Again, LOVING coral! This is such a convenient product because it can be used for the cheeks as well as lips. I apply it on the cheeks as a base color though and use a powder blush on top. For the lips I use my Shu Uemura lip brush to apply it and for the cheeks I use the Lise Watier concealer brush for application. In comparison to the MAC cremeblend blush, it is a lot creamier and that's why it's a lip product as well. This will be awesome for travelling :)

I got the Fiberwig mascara even though I mentioned in an earlier post that it drags down my lashes. It's because I got an electric eyelash curler now so I thought it would work well for curling the lashes upward rather than using a normal curler. This mascara claims to be a better formula but it actually doesn't really seem like it... After I use the electric curler, the result is not as good as I expected. The lashes kind of clump together and don't look as long as they should be...! Maybe I haven't grasped the right way to use it so I will keep trying XD

Upper swatch: Bobbi Brown Pot rouge
Lower swatch: Melliesh 05

Melliesh lipgloss 05
It's quite opaque but not as much as the MAC Kissable Lipcolor. It doesn't last as long as the MAC one either. I guess it's because the MAC kissable lipcolor is not supposed to be a lipgloss so the nature of the products are different. When I look at the two tubes it looks like the MAC one contains more product but actually they both contain 5g. I'd apply the Melliesh lipgloss on its own because it's opaque enough. However, I wouldn't purchase the product again because it is quite sticky like a normal lipgloss and its lasting power isn't that good. I would prefer MAC kissable lip color much more than Melliesh lipgloss, but too bad the kissable lip color line doesn't carry that many colors that I like.

MAC See Sheer Lipstick

Got a MAC gift card for my birthday so I decided to get the lipstick that I've been wanting for a while :) MAC See Sheer lipstick! It's a coral shade but more on the orange side. Loveee this shadee! It's sort of sheer but it's buildable. That's what I wanted, something not too bold. I wore it with a neutral eye and I thought I'd put some MAC Cranberry eyeshadow along the lower lash line to bring out the lip color more, but turns out it's not that obvious.. I put it in the middle part of y lower lash line, it was obvious to ME! haha

Eyes:
- MAC All that Glitters on lid & inner corners
-MAC Cranberry on middle lower lash line
- MAC Bronze on crease and outter part of lower lash line
- Ardell Lashes #109

Sephora Birthday Gift! Philosophy vanilla birthday cake shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath

Today was my last day to redeem my Sephora birthday gift! Glad I got it, it's so much better than last year's... Last year they gave a short blue eyeliner which takes an awful amount of effort for the color to show up, and a white eyeshadow and a really bad Sephora mascara sample... This shower gel is actually 180 ml, surprisingly big! It does smell like vanilla cake XD Yay~~~ Personally I don't like to spend too much on shower gels/shampoo, I'd rather spend the money on make up hahaa Hopefully I won't get addicted to this and end up having to buy expensive shower gels XD

OPI Happy Anniversary & Spiritual Face of Destiny

Finally have time to do some nails! My nails are too short right now T_T

Spiritual nail polishes look really nice but they peel really easily for me... Super pigmented and a little bit thick.
I can't wait to try wearing super sparkly nail polish as a base and then a shatter polish on top.. It looks so nice! the sparkle just shines through the cracks XD

Birthday Makeup

This year's birthday I got 3 sets of body lotion/perfume/shower products...! One from Burberry, one from Philosophy, one from Vitabath. haha I'm really liking the Philosophy shower gel...smells so good and the scent is not too overwhelming at all~! The Burberry set is really pretty x.x The box is pink and cute! hahah the smell is very subtle too. Haven't tried the Vitabath yet but I'm looking forward to that because it's supposed to be moisturizing. My skin, especially my legs get pretty dry after I shower >_<" Hmm... What should I spend my MAC gift card on? Can't decide.. so many things I want haha... Carbon eyeshadow? So Sheer lipstick? Soft brown eyeshadow? I'll seee... =P ...

Eyes:
- MAC fig on crease
- Sheseido Hydro Powder eyeshadow H2 on first 1/3 of lids & inner corners

- Ardell lashes, forgot the # ..!

Thoughts for Annabelle single eyeshadow

okay so I actually wore the eyeshadow and actually it has quite a lot of fallouts. I'm not sure about the other textures of their eye shadows though. I had to pack on the color for it to stick and show so it's not as good as I thought when I swatched it. Not comparable to MAC shadows, at least for this one anyway.

Found THE hand cream, finally.

I had been on the search for some hand cream that wouldn't require me to reapply after I wash my hands. When it got to the point that I thought such hand cream didn't exist, I came across the hand therapy creme by Beauti Control. omg this stuff is amazing! I always wash my hands so my hands are pretty dry. The back of my right hand always peels, that's how dry it is. [usually just in the winter though] The sales person told me that this hand cream could last 3 washes and I was like.. really? ...

I tried, and guess what! It does! okay I didn't count how many washes it lasted but I really see an improvement of my disgusting dry skin. LOL satisfied! I'm thinking of bringing one back to Taiwan for my mom :) :) Well I'm not sure how dry her hands get though cuz it's quite humid there. I'll ask her first :) This thing is so cheap anyway =P

I give it a 4.9/5!

[ btw my panasonic curler arrived and I will be picking it up today omg so EXCITED!!] XD

Another Neutral Look

  • MAC Jest on inner 1/3 of lid & inner corners
  • MAC all that glitters on outter 2/3 of lid & middle of lower lash line
  • Bobbi Brown Java on crease & outter 1/3 of lower lash line
  • MAC Rule on mid section as blending color
  • Some shimmer white shadow on brow bone
  • MAC dip down gel liner on bottom lash line & blacktrack on upper lash line

Guess what? I ordered the Panasonic eyelash curler online XD around $19 including shipping...! cant wait to use it with the Diorshow base! I think I'll get fiberwig in hk and try to use it with the curler too... because the fiber wig lengthens like crazyyy, it's just that it's so heavy/long it drags my lashes down without the help of a heated device.
